WALKING ON THIN ICE

If there were ever a day that you should be very--very careful about the way you live—IT WOULD BE TODAY!

The scripture calls for lovers of God to walk circumspectly before God. (Ephesians 5:15)  Be careful.  In deed you should walk as though you were walking on thin ice.  No one ever expects to fall through the ice as they casually walk along an icy slippery slope.  No one expects to be suddenly drenched in freezing ice water that takes the breath away.  No one ever expects to be suddenly judged by God.

It is clear to those listening to the Spirit of God in this hour that God is provoked to great wrath.  He is loosing His righteous judgments into the earth.  There will be many dead, and many suffering harm due to their careless life before God.  How long O man will you spurn the Living God?  How long will you mock His grace by living a brazen licentious life?

God does not change.  He has recorded in the history of Scripture His fury at a disobedient and impudent people.  Many people do not understand how and why God will judge.  God calls you to remember,

” I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.”  And,” Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 5,7)

AND

5.  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wildernes6.  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.  7.  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.  8.  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.  9.  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.   10.  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.  11.  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.   12.  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10)

The above text from 1Corinthians briefly details the historic dealings of God with His people Israel.  Israel continued to absorb foreign idolatry into its worship of God, they lusted after pleasures, they coveted wealth, they provoked God to anger, they spoke ill of our wonderful God.  All of this is written so that those who would walk with God in covenant relationship through Jesus Christ would be careful in the manner they lived.

We are told specifically, that these things are written for our admonition!  Learn from the demise of ancient Israel.  Now, God has loved the world so much that He has given His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for sins, raised Him from the dead, given the Holy Spirit, Scripture, grace, faith, and repentance.  All this along a two thousand year history of God interacting and confirming His Word through signs, wonders and historical documentation.  What else could God do that He has not done?  God Himself is asking this question. (See Isaiah 5:4)

It is evident that many people do not understand the role of judgment from God.  People ask repeatedly, “How can a loving God judge?  He is love?”  Yes.  God is love.  However, He is a person-- not a STONE.  He has feelings.  God has been impugned and severely disrespected.  The blood of His Son is shamed.  It is one thing for people to fall into sin, and yet quite another to wallow in the mire of sin.  To rashly, insolently, and arrogantly sin against God and pretend that one is righteous before God is horrendous hypocrisy!  God hates it.  It is smoke in His nose.  This is why God will act in judgment.  It is righteous judgment.  The cup of iniquity quickly fills in the earth today.

NOTE THIS:  On the cross Jesus asked His Father to “forgive them for they know not what they do”.  But, when Jesus returns to the earth in the accompaniment of heavenly angels and the glory of the Father, He will “in flaming fire take vengeance on those who do not know God or obey the gospel”. (2Thessalonians 1:8)  And, He will tread the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of the Almighty God. (Revelation 19:15)

We stand in the ominous days where the Spirit of God has borne witness of the impending Judgments of God.  They have arrived.  The Holy Father has risen to Judgment and to the prey of His enemies that have not heeded His call to repentance.  The Spirit has made it clear, that judgment has been hurled into the earth.  Verily, stand assured, that the coming days will accompany grievous cataclysmic events issued from above.

Jeremiah prophesied against such a people of brazen selfish lives.  The people thought they were free to serve God as they willed in the glut of iniquity. God had asked, Are you free to do these evils and then come stand before Me?

  8.  Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

9.  Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

 10.  And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

 11.  Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.

 12.  But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

 13.  And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

 14.  Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

 15.  And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

 16.  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

 17.  Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

 18.  The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

 19.  Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

20.  Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

Make no mistake about it, Jesus Christ has not set people free in order to live unto themselves.  God has granted the glorious liberty in order for those who love Him to serve Him in newness of life.  This is the contrast.  This is why you will see judgment in the earth.

Prophecy:

“I gave Jesus, I raised Him from the dead, I gave the Holy Spirit, I gave you the Scripture, I gave you grace, faith, repentance.  What more could I have given?  I see neighing upon the neighbor’s spouse, I see the valuing of the prostitute, and you are captive by her.  I will throw rocks at you.  I will stone you with stones!”   Trevor Davis

In the late evening of April 21, 2006, after sharing the prophecy noted above on the Trunews broadcast that I prophesied the day before, I was praying about the element-- God “throwing rocks and stones”.  I inquired with the LORD about it.  While I was speaking to the LORD in prayer I heard the following phrase interrupt my own words, “Amen to that”.

I searched the definition of the words “AMEN”,” VALUING” AND “CAPTIVE”.

“AMEN”
