THE TITANTIC LIFE

It is so common to view life as the famous cruise ship SS Titanic. Remember the story how this ship in the early 1900’s was created to bring leisure and ease upon a ship promoted as unsinkable?
‘Come on board and eat, drink and be merry everything is just fine and nothing will ever go wrong’.
Yet in reality, the ship is on dead course for disaster and destruction. In fact, if one just recognized the warning signs on radar or through visual observation, one could note the tip of the iceberg that floated just ahead. What’s more is that which was visible was only a fraction of the gigantic megalith below the surface.
There are several believers that use the illustration of the tragedy of the Titanic to illustrate the danger of our day. See, I am convinced by the Word and Spirit of God that we are in the days of trouble. God is calling His people to seek His face and hearken to His voice! Enter your secret chamber and shut the door behind you so you may be hid in the day of His indignation (Isaiah 26:20).
I am amazed. Jesus said to "watch and pray" and "take heed" repeatedly. Please! I urge you! Open your eyes and pay attention to your surroundings. Note the signs of the times. Discern. Jesus also said if you don’t watch he will come in a time that you don’t expect. In other words, you will be caught totally of guard and you’ll be sorry (Revelation 3:1-3). Those of the world will never know what hit them either in the coming days (Luke 17:26-29).
In reality, you will respond in one of two ways just as those on the historic Titanic. You will either have your last drink and dance and go down with the ship singing a song, or, you will cry before God and get right with Him—put on the life vest (Jesus Christ), and get into the life boat (God’s provision of safety). What will you do? What are you doing?
