My mother loved me.
She wanted what was best for me.
When I was a young kid she would make my lunch for me. An awesome lunch too. I noticed when I went to school or ate at a
friend’s house that allot of kids ate sandwiches with white bread. I would often ask my mom if I could have
white bread for my sandwiches. She
would absolutely not have that! It
wasn’t good for me she would say. She
was right.
We live in a time of apostasy in the christian world. The swaying trend of the masses is away from God and the sanctity of His Word. Popular teachers and their popular messages are like “white bread”. Man made, processed and refined with synthetic additives to try to reverse the effects of altering God-given natural food. A diet of this type of food will diminish one’s health and lead to illness and disease. A shortened life span is often the case as well. It shouldn’t be that way but it is. People’s appetites often lead them to eat things that hurt them. The same is true in the spiritual life.
The scripture tells us that in the last days men will heap
to themselves teachers having itching ears and they will heed false teachings.
(2Timothy 4:3) The people turn from the
truth to listen to fables that cannot save or bring benefit. These teachings may sound good and “taste
good” but the end is the same—sickness and lack.
I listened to a famous ‘minister’ last night as he
preached in a sports auditorium with thousands of people. Smiley and charming delivery of milk toast
white bread was the alarming assessment my spirit made. I was alarmed that so many thousands, even
millions of people partake of this ‘diet’ for their spiritual growth. My inner being wants to detest this false
minister but I realize he is only giving the people what they want. He serves the masses the slop on whatever
plate they desire-- paper, china or ceramic.
Let the people choose. After all
they are the one’s that pick up the tab.
This is not a day as usual. It is not a day for church as usual
either. This is the time of great
judgment from the Almighty. It is underway. Judgment here and there—but the oblivious
masses go on as if nothing were awry.
The multitudes are blinded by a weak ‘diet’ of man-centered words. They have fed on the white bread of a false
gospel. A false gospel that exalts the
individual. A false gospel that
promotes the self. This erring gospel
leads the people to climb the ladder of success and fame. Anathema.
It is false. A perverted gospel
that speaks not of the greatness of God.
It does not lead into truth and repentance. It fails to demonstrate the need for humility. It puffs up with the leaven of “man”. It isn’t of God! But it tastes good…
I see this gospel of exalting the will of man as a satanic
gospel. It is Satanism. Remember that Satan is subtle—more subtle
than all of the beasts. He quotes
scripture but does so with a distortion.
When Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted
by the devil, the devil sought to lead Jesus astray. But Jesus triumphed marvelously by holding fast to the pure Word
of God. “It is written”. Jesus would never eat the ‘white bread’ that
is common in today’s religious world.
He eats only of the scroll of God.
After all, as God said to Jeremiah, “what is the chaff to the
wheat?” (He that speaks My Word let him
do so faithfully)
Jesus temptation by Satan demonstrates the white bread
gospel of today. Satan the tempter
sought to lead Jesus away from fulfilling the will of the Father. Jesus was fasting and the devil came unto
Him to tell Jesus to turn the rocks into bread. After all, Satan reasoned, ‘you are the Son of God…you deserve
the best for yourself. Make something
happen. Use the power of God for your
own benefit regardless that it is the will of the Father that you fast…’ Jesus
rejected this ploy. No way! “Man shall not live by bread alone but by
every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
Jesus resisted again, Satan the “white bread” baker, when
Satan sought to cause Jesus to test the provision of the Father’s
protection. “Jesus”, Satan reasoned,
‘you being the Son of God and all, you can cast your self down from this
pinnacle of the temple and the angels will catch you.’ The temptation was a false
super-spirtuality---Oooooo. Test your
spirituality. Jesus wouldn’t go for
that. He was dedicated to do the will
of the Father—not fulfill any individualistic desire. Jesus resisted declaring, “It is written, you shall not tempt the
LORD your God”.
And one last temptation Jesus endured was the devil
making his offer to exalt Jesus into self-honor and glory. The devil Satan offered Jesus to “be all you
can be” and you can have power in the world…I have the power to give it to you
Jesus--all you have to do is fall down and worship me.’ Jesus retorts, “Get out of here Satan! For it is written, “you shall worship the
LORD your God, and Him only shall you serve.”
From this portion of scripture, we can see the
danger of eating the devil’s white bread gospel (Matthew 4:1-11). Satan’s agenda is to lead the people into an
individualistic agenda of self-exaltation that is separate from submission to
the will of the Father. That bears
repeating—the Satanic gospel seeks to lead people into an individualistic
agenda of self-exaltation that is separate from submission to the will of
God. It is tempting…It tastes good and
is pleasant to the eyes---making you wise…Do you recall the beginning in the
garden? (Genesis 3:1-6) It is the
same devil with the same objective.
Resist him!
I urge all to heed the warning of this message. Avoid the temptation of the Satanic gospel. Don’t eat his white bread gospel. It will kill you!
In Jeremiah’s prophetic word it is recorded that God said,
“For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain
of living waters, [and] hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold
no water.”
Jeremiah 2:13
Woe unto the religious world today. Woe, woe, woe.
Turn back to God.
Turn back to the truth of the simple gospel of Jesus Christ. Turn from serving man. Turn from exalting man. Stop eating the words of a man that
make you vain. Put away the white bread
gospel that gives death rather than life.
Turn yourselves back to the One who speaks from heaven and
you shall live!
