In Dire Danger

Scripture records how God warned His faithful servant Noah to make

provisions prior to the great flood. (Hebrews 11:7)  Noah, his household,

and pairs of animals were selected by God to be canopied in the ark.  A

great deluge of water flooded into the earth drowning men, women, children

as well as all other forms of life because the time had come when God

could no longer endure the iniquitous manner people lived.  God was so

grieved that He was pained that He even made man.   He said, ‘every

imagination of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually…”

(Genesis 6:5-9).

We now live in a day similar to Noah’s day.  Jesus foretold that prior to

His second coming to the earth life would be as it was in the days of

Noah.  (Luke 17:26-30) Jesus teaches that mankind will be both wicked and

living life full of normalcy--marrying and giving in marriage, eating and

drinking, building and planting--right up to the day that God’s righteous

judgments unleash.   So, the truth is, you are either going to be in the

‘ark’ of God’s protection, or, the flood of God’s destruction will wash

you away into eternity.  Do you hear the voice of God calling you to His

side?  Do you hear Him warning you to prepare?  Are you responding to His

voice?

The Spirit of God is speaking today.   The LORD is standing up to judge.

There will be multiple cataclysmic judgments coming suddenly and at the

same time.  God will judge Kings and Kingdoms.  He will expose the wicked

things done in secret.  He will humble the high and lofty proud looks.

God is establishing His fear in the earth.  Now is the time to draw near

to the LORD and hide in His presence. (Isaiah 26:20-21)

Today there is a predominant religious world that has forsaken God and the

Lord that bought them.  While they name Him in word they deny Him in their

lifestyle.  Jesus wondered if there would be faith in the earth when He

returned.  (Luke 18:8b)  He also said that many would depart from the

faith and then betray other true disciples. (Matthew 24:10)  Jesus

describes a world full of chaos and destruction prior to His return.

(Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 17; Luke 21)  The times of the end have obvious

signs. (Matthew 16:2-3)  But, a religious system that follows after other

gods and loves is blinded to the obvious.  They draw near to God with

their lips, and honor God with their mouths, but their hearts they have

drawn far from God, and the fear of God is taught by a precept  (Isaiah

29:10,11,13).  It is a religion of talk.

Today’s religious world is in for a rude awakening.  Jesus said that many

would be shocked to find that they are cast out into outer darkness.  They

trust in their religious pious appearance but truly do not love or obey

God.  Surprise.  Jesus said there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This is literal!

God is indicating at the writing of this message that we are in the throes

of judgment.  It has arrived.  His righteous judgments have been hurled

into the earth, and indeed, they are inbound.  A religious system that has

heard the Word and did not do the Word is in for a crashing demise.   The

storm is coming.  The clouds are dark, looming and threatening.  Can you

see them?  Great waves of destruction are about to smash against the

foundation of everyone’s lives.  The only foundation that is sure to stand

is that which rests upon obedient abiding in the LORD.  A people that

thought their Master had delayed His coming and began to eat and drink

with the oblivious drunken will be suddenly surprised at the Master’s hand

of judgment.  (Matthew 24:45-51)

“Remember Lot’s Wife”.  These are Jesus’ words (Luke 17:32).  The time

will come when you must flee for your life.  Don’t look back!  Run.  Study

the scripture to understand what Jesus is teaching.  It is imperative to

understand judgment.  God is the judge.  He will judge.  Period.  The

Father will judge the world as well as His own people.  This is what the

scripture teaches.  It is so vital to understand judgment and not make the

same mistake as Lot’s wife.

Lot and his family lived in a wicked community.  They had neighbors and

friends.  The children played with each other in the streets.  They had

business ventures.  But, Lot was grieved over the trends of society.  When

the time came that God was going to rain coals of fire upon the land, He

sent angels to escort Lot and his family out of harms way.  God instructed

them they were not to look back as God’s fury was unleashed.  Lot’s

wife…she couldn’t handle it.  She looked back as her impassioned temporal

world was pummeled by fierce fiery stones of judgment.  She became a

pillar of salt.  A perpetual reminder to all that follow ignorant

evaluation of God’s justice.  Learn from this.

Remember that scripture teaches that this world and the things of the

world will pass away.  Only the Word of God will remain.  Believers are to

look for a new world and a new heaven where righteousness dwells.  This

world and its fashion will be burned with fire and great heat.

“But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night, in the which

the heavens

shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with

fervent heat,

the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of

persons ought you

to be in all holy behavior and godliness.”  2Peter 3:10-11

and,

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet

once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.    And this word,

Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are made, that

those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  Wherefore we receiving a

kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God

acceptably with reverence and godly fear:  For our God is a consuming

fire.   Hebrews 12:26-29

Live with this in mind.   Walk VERY carefully.  Make sure that you aren’t

caught living in a manner that warrants God’s judgment.  Live before the

LORD in a humble childlike manner that pleases the LORD.  You will be glad

you did.
