The REMNANT Idea

The Lord has been speaking to me about the REMNANT idea.     Today, on how only two, Joshua and Caleb, entered the PROMISE Land because they “wholly followed Me”.  The others did not follow the Lord.  Though they saw His works forty years and were delivered from Egypt, and the whole type that reflects Jesus as Passover, deliverer, conqueror over Satan, providing...guiding and more.  Heb. 3:16 & Jude1:5.  These texts speak of this. 

Now—-this is the exhortation that we are TODAY, to Hear My voice!  Harden not your hearts as  in the day of “PROVOCATION”.  Referring to those who put God on Trial by “testing” and “trying”. Him.

  God was grieved—vexed with that generation (people).  He said they always err in their hearts!  They do not know My Ways.  (Jesus is the way).

God swares in His wrath—they shall NOT enter My rest!  What God had promised.  That Promise was mere land, but we have to understand we are speaking of eternal life here.  Not things in this world.  They experienced deliverance a figure of the coming of Jesus.  They saw God do many things.  Yet they hardened their hearts against God.  It says, they sinned.  They were disobedient.  Summed up as “unbelief”.  

The idea of remnant is what the Lord is speaking about now.  There are a lot  of people that say they are Christians or disciples.  They have head knowledge and some experience with God.  But they do not “completely follow the LORD”.  They like Israel, have other gods in their heart and minds.   They do not walk in the way, the denial of self, picking up their cross, and following Jesus. 

Remember, how Jesus lived?  He lived the way of the cross everyday right up to the day they crucified Him.  He always did what was pleasing to the Father.  He only did what He “saw” His Father doing.  It is spiritual direction, a spiritual person has this in the spirit.  It is not religion or church going.  It is following Jesus completely.  Being instructed by Him. Heeding His voice!  Otherwise, you will be as the Israelites that die in the wilderness, grieving and offending God by a luke warm heart that loves this world more than the eternal God.  It’s a remnant  again.  Only few will make it. 

Countless many will be crying Lord Lord as the door of eternity shuts them out in darkness.  Jesus did not know them.  They did evil in His sight.  They did not know the way of the Lord.  They were religious but not sincere in their abiding walk in Jesus. 

Noah’s day saw 8 souls saved.  Just Lot and his daughters Were delivered during the judgment on Sodom.  During the prophet Elijah there were only 7,000 souls that had not bowed the knee to the false god Baal.  Isaiah 1 speaks of a horrible thing.  God declares to the heavens and earth that My people do not know Me.  Just a mere “remnant” again.  People have to decide whether they truly want the Lord God and believe fully in total surrender to Jesus.  Lip service just does not cut it with God. It grieves Him.  It makes Him angry.  And He will not allow those people to enter His “rest”.  Paul has urged the people "examine yourself. Are you really in the faith?"  Consider this.
