This is an ominous day. A day when God is showing Himself strong and mighty against His enemies. This is a day to be slow to speak; and quick to heed. All men everywhere should seek the face of God and hear His voice. All should make their own assessment before God and allow the truth to be made known to them. Some are indeed appointed to death. Some will be rescued by the mercy and kindness of God.

God is working. Satan is working too. We are at an unprecedented time where the entire world is in calamity and dread due to a pestilence. God has told us it was coming. Those abiding in the Lord knew it was at hand. Those who were not abiding in Him, did not hear His voice, and have been completely caught off guard oblivious.

Everything is being shut down in the world. Entertainment, gatherings, certain businesses, and even gatherings of the religious. This is the greatest thing to happen. It is a gift from God. This is the time to seek God with the whole heart. Repent and make amends to God as is warranted. Because, the majority of people ARE NOT READY to stand before God. Especially the churchgoers. There are only a small amount of abiding disciples in Jesus. The rest are only going through the motions of hypocrisy. And God hates this!

Isaiah prophesied about how God had spoken and called but the religious would not hear or respond. They chose evil things which God hates and therefore, God said, He would chose their delusions for them. We are told the same thing in various places in the New Testament.

Proverbs 1 declares how God says again that the people refused His counsel and did not want His reproof. Worse yet, they scoffed at Him as fools hating knowledge. They ignored His reproof and conviction that comes by the Holy Spirit. They put their fingers in their ears. They adamantly as stone became firm in their insolence.

Now then...

The Lord Almighty has allowed calamity and dread, the fear of terror to come suddenly! As a storm and whirlwind, it fills the earth with distress of nations, peoples the rebels. Anguish shall take hold of them.

God says they did not choose the fear of the Lord. They did not accept His counsel. They spurned His reproof. Even the religious people that do these things are regarded as the wicked according to Jeremiah. How they speak of God giving Him lip service, but their hearts they have removed from Him. The same was true in Isaiah's day. The same is true everyday right up to this day and hour.

This great hour is a merciful event as God has allowed for stillness to strike the nations. Countries, states and cities, down to towns and neighborhoods are coming to a halt. Hear the Lord O people! Humble yourself before His excellency. He is coming to judge the wicked. And He will deliver His faithful abiding ones. He has kept for Himself a small remnant in the earth that love Him, and honor Him, as they have truly loved His ways.

The Lord is saying people have made their choices. They have procured this evil upon themselves. It will be as terror and fear with hopelessness filling their being. Because they have spurned His offer of redemption and forgiveness, He is rising up to judge. They shall eat the fruit of their own doings. What they sowed they shall reap. God will not be mocked!

The waywardness or apostasy will kill the simpletons He says.

The complacency of those in ease and abundance will destroy them. It will have them exterminated and put to death. This is what is written. Proverbs 1:23-32.

Lastly, to those who have faithfully sought the Lord, they shall be rewarded. They shall not have fear. They shall have a peace beyond understanding. It comes from God. They shall live, the Lord says. They shall live in security and will be at ease from this DREAD. Proverbs 1:34.

The stunning thing to realize right now, that this event of the Corona Virus pandemic is only one event that shall come. There will be one disaster after another as this world winds down its last days. The Lord Jesus declares, “those who endure unto the end shall be saved!”

God be praised. His righteous judgments are warranted. He gave the world the gift of salvation through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. He gives grace, mercy and kindness. He offers wisdom to all, understanding and right judgments. Life and it in abundance. But so many people have refused His offer and vehemently thrusted their clenched fists in His face. “No more”, says the Lord. “I will repay!”
