Without
Holiness...?
“FREED FROM SIN”
The Good News &
Bad News

The
scripture states without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14. This is one of many scriptures that people tend not
to hear much among religious environments. Why do you think that
is?
Regardless
if it is something churchgoers hear or don't hear, the truth of this
text is the same. You must be holy in Christ or you will not inherit
the Kingdom of God.
But there is really good news. I wish to
provide several other texts that also seem rarely proclaimed in
institutionalized Churchianity.
I will give the good news.
But there will also be BAD NEWS for those who do not embrace the
truth of this good news.
I have noted today, at least 16
scriptures that say a believer is FREED
FROM SIN.
I
see about 9 texts in Romans 6.
About 5 in Romans 8.
Another in
1 John 3:9, stating that a believer Can
Not Sin Because the seed of Christ is within them.
And,
Jesus Himself testifies, “He
who sins is the slave to sin...Therefore
if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed”.
John 8:34,36
Regardless of what you believe, or do not
believe, or, what your own experience is this matter,
the Word of
God testifies:
Real Christian disciples are made free from sin.
Romans
6:
4.
Therefore
we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as
Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so
we too might walk in newness of life.
6. knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him,
in
order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we
would no longer be slaves to sin;
7. for
he who has died is freed from sin.
(by being crucified with Christ; being baptized into Jesus)
11.
Even
so consider yourselves to be dead to sin,
but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12. Therefore do
not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts
14.
For
sin shall not be master over you,
for you are not under law but under grace.
18. and having
been
freed from sin,
you became
slaves of righteousness.
20. [For
when you were
slaves of sin,
you were free in regard to righteousness.]
22. But
now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God,
you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification*,
and the outcome, eternal life.
*Sanctification/holiness/
without no one shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:4.
Romans
8: (freedom from sin about five times)
2. For the law of the
Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has
set you free from the law of sin and of death.
4.
so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do
not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
10. If
Christ
is in you, though the
body is dead because of sin,
yet
the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
12.
So then, brethren,
we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the
flesh—
13.
for
if you are living according to the flesh, you must die;
but
if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you
will live.
See also Galatians 2:20.
14. For
all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
1 John
3:3 And
everyone who has this hope
fixed
on
Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
3:9 No
one who is born of God practices sin,
because
His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
This is an amazing study. Clearly, by being immersed
into Jesus Christ by faith, the operation of God WORKS (energea) by
the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus by the glory of God the
Father, we are liberated as a new creation to walk in newness of
life. This is described as the “Spirit” and not the
flesh.
-The seed of Christ prevents such a person of faith and
obedience to walk in sin.
-If Christ is in you, then your body is
dead due to sin; but you are made alive after the Spirit.
-If the
Spirit dwells in you, then you are putting the flesh to death,
mortifying, and not controlled by it anymore.
We are also
instructed repeatedly in Romans 6 that this victory over sin and
death is through yielding
to righteousness; and not the flesh unto death.
No one in
Christ Jesus is obligated to walk after the flesh. Romans 8:12.
This is the good news.
The
bad news
is if you are walking in the flesh and sinning, you are dead and not
truly born again. You may have religious ideologies, but the truth
of the gospel has not born fruit in your life. If it had, you would
be in harmony with the Word of God walking in liberty in Jesus.
If
you recognize this information as bad news, realize it is better to
find out now than later.
You
must be born again. You must be born from above as Jesus instructs
us. By the seed of the Word of God, the word of truth. Repent and
believe the gospel. Completely surrender to the Lordship of Jesus
Christ and have faith in the operation of God.
That is, being
baptized in the death of Jesus, being spiritually buried with Him,
then also risen with Him as a new creation. All the old things are
passed away, and behold all things are made new.
By having the
seed of Christ dwelling in you, and the very Spirit of God which is
holy, you indeed can yield your own self to righteousness by faith as
Romans 6 teaches.
God washes and regenerates us by the Holy
Spirit. As we give ourselves completely to the Lord, and we turn
from the world and its ways, we present our bodies as a living
sacrifice which is our reasonable service.
Romans 12:1-2
And
do
not be conformed to this world,
but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind,
so
that you may prove what the will of God is,
that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Jesus
says that it is not those who say Lord Lord that have eternal life.
It is for those who do the will of the Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21.
One can not do the will of the Father when they
are conformed to the world. The world is His enemy.
One can not
do the will of the Father when they are in sin.
One can not do the
will of the Father when they live in the flesh.
One will never be
able to do the will of the Father when they have a corrupted carnal
worldly mind either.
And since there will be so many people
rejected by the Lord standing on the outside of the closed door of
eternity knocking, I have presented this message for your
consideration.
Please do as if your life depended on it.
Eternal life that is.
As Paul exhorted, every person ought to
examine themselves whether they are truly in the faith.
1
Corinthians 13:5.
Give attention to your salvation as if it
were the most important thing; not one of the items long down a list.
You will be glad you did. Sorry if you don't.
