Everyone loves payday.
People generally work hard and are compensated for the labor of their
actions. But I have to tell you, there
is coming a day soon that payday from the Almighty will be doled out. It won’t be fun at all for some. You see--God is God. He rewards all men for their works. ‘The ‘good’ shall receive for the ‘good’
they have done, and contrariwise, they that have done wrong shall receive for
the wrong they have done.’ “There is no
respect of persons.” “The wages
of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
At present the LORD has made it known that we stand at one
of the pivotal points in history when God makes inquisition. He calls for an accounting of men and
women’s behavior. For the most part,
God is angry with the masses--especially nations who have had a great history
of the gospel for decades upon decades.
God requires much from those He has given much. He expects more from people that have been
given abundance of grace. Now the LORD
is saying, “Give an account of your stewardship”. “What are you doing with what I have given you?” “What have you done in MY name?”
It’s true that there will be an ultimate judgment
day. For the unbelieving
there will be the Great White Throne Judgment and for the believing
there will be the Judgment Seat of Christ. All will praise God for the righteous judgment of God that is
declared in equity and fairness. All
will bow the knee and confess that Jesus Christ IS Lord to the Father’s
glory. Everyone. But now, we are at the times that the coming
of Christ draws near and the fierce authority He possesses clashes with His
enemies. The systems of this world both
political and religious are at odds with Him.
They by-and-large resist His will.
Psalms 2 records how the Kings of the earth that are self-established
and the rebellious rulers of the religious systems join forces in opposition to
God and His Anointed One. They seek to
cast off the bridle of His lordship.
This awesome Psalm gives warning to the rebels…”
Be wise
now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the
LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Psalms 2:10-12
And,
The Lord at thy
right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
He
shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead
bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. Psalms 110:5-6
As
I write this message today the Spirit of the LORD has indicated that God has
risen from His place to judge the earth. *
He is going forth pleading with all flesh and toppling the arrogant and
proud wherever He finds it. The
Lord Jesus Christ is revealing Himself as He really is according to the
texts of scripture. Jesus Christ shall
make it clearly known that He is not an infant pictured on a Christmas
card. He is not an idolatrous icon or
genie for peoples’ selfish wishes.
Jesus Christ is Lord and the nations shall all bow the knee to His
authority.
God
is shaking everything that can be shaken.
He will not only shake the earth but the heavens too. The Lord speaks clearly and precisely as a
two-edged sword regarding the truth of the divided heart of men. He rebukes and chastens and the wise give
sway to the truth of His rebuke. But
the foolish and arrogant cast aside His word in order to continue their own
self-deluded dreams of grandeur.
Jesus
speaks one way to His followers that are humble and tender, and quite another
austere way to those that have hardened their hearts and closed their eyes and
ears. To the little ones of the
Lord He speaks like this:
Matthew 5:5-9
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God.
Jesus is a gracious
shepherd that laid His life down for them that love Him. He speaks tenderly to His beloved. But…
To
those who refuse His grace and truth Jesus speaks altogether differently. Men and women who have seemingly gotten away
with their own sinful independent lifestyles are about to have a rude
awakening. Those who have pursued pleasure
in pride are now about to find the infamy of disregarding the blood covenant of
Jesus Christ.
As
it is written:
Hebrews 10:27-31
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a
certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall
devour the adversaries. He that
despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall
he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath
counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy
thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance
belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The
Lord shall judge his people. It
is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
The
Spirit of the LORD is revealing the fierceness of the Almighty and the
indignation of His Son Jesus Christ.
God is standing up to judge. He
is going forth judging and shaking everything that can be shaken. This is the time to fear the LORD and give
Him glory. This is the time to fall
prostrate before Him and worship Him in the beauty of His holiness. Repent.
Reject the hidden things of dishonesty.
Put it away and call on the LORD.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that God has raised Him from the
dead. Confess that Jesus is Lord to the
glory of God the Father.
Now
is the time to run unto the LORD and make Him your shelter from the debris that
falls from the sudden cataclysms. Hide
in the LORD. Abide in Him and follow
Him wherever He leads you. But indeed
realize that the Lord is judging His people as it is written. And He judges all the
world. Choose this day how He will
speak to you.
Will
you be His friend or foe?
*Isaiah 3:13; Zechariah 2:13
Seek ye the LORD, all ye
meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek
meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger. Zephaniah
2:3

Hear the Word of the LORD!
Zephaniah 3
1. Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing
city!
2. She
obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord;
she drew not near to her God.
3. Her
princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw
not the bones till the morrow.
4. Her
prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the
sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
5. The
just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth
he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no
shame.
6. I
have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets
waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no
man, that there is none inhabitant.
7. I
said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their
dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose
early, and corrupted all their doings.
8. Therefore
wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for
my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to
pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth
shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
